1. Pacific Power and Light - Oregon Heat
    Provides financial assistance with utility bills to low-income families in Pacific Power and Light's service area. Program administered by Community Sharing.

2. PacificSource Health Plans - Pacific Kids' Care
    PacificSource is offering a free plan to children under the age of 15 whose family income falls below 150% of the federal poverty level. The plan covers well-baby care, immunizations and routine checkups at no charge. In the event of illness or injury, the plan pays for office visits, tests, and prescriptions; a small copayment is charged. Hospitalization is not covered. There are limited dental services for preventative care only.

3. Parent Partnership
    Provides educational and support services and resource and referals for parents and families in South Lane County. Videos, books, games and other parent resources available through a Primary Connection Family Resource Center at Lincoln Middle School. Healthy Start Services (weekly home visits) available to first time parents. Childcare for teen parents completing high school or GED requirements provided at on-site nursery at Cottage Grove High School. Bilingual Family Services (Spanish).

4. Parents Families and Friends of Lesbians and Gays (PFLAG)
    PFLAG is a support system for persons who have a gay, lesbian or bisexual person in their lives. We want to help them learn to love and accept these persons by offering understanding and support. We also offer information and literature to members of the public who request information. A fee of $24 per family is for yearly membership, but it is not necessary to belong to attend support meetings. Meetings are held on 3rd Monday, 6:45p at 1050 E 23rd Ave, Eugene (First Congregational Church). Mission statement: PFLAG Eugene/Springfield promotes the health and well-being of gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgendered persons, their families, and friends. We are working to create a community that is respectful of human diversity through support, education, and advocacy.

5. Parkinson's Support Group
    Support group for persons with Parkinson's disease and their families. Meets at Campbell Senior Center (155 High St).

6. Passages
    Residential alcohol, drug, and criminality treatment for men who are Lane County Corrections clients. Provides 24 hour supervision, group therapy and education, individual counseling, basic living skills, recreation, art therapy, and referrals to community resources (medical, vocational, etc.) and self help groups. The three-phase inpatient program takes an average of 6 months, and aftercare is provided for a minimum of 6 months.

7. Peace Harbor Hospital
    A full-service acute-care hospital serving Western Lane County. 24 hour emergency services. Full-service medical, surgical, orthopedic, obstetric, pediatric, geriatric and critical care. Duplex carotid scanning, echocardiography, CT scanner, mammograms and ultrasound. Lab, physical therapy, home health, radiology and pastoral care services. See following entries for specific programs.

8. Peace Harbor Hospital - Auxiliary
    Provides layettes for babies of low-income families. Also serves as a primary support organization in the area of family support; provides support services for Friends of Florence cancer van; assists neurology and chemotherapy outpatients; ears, nose and throat doctor; gynecology and obstetrics doctor; community education service; hospice for terminally ill; and home health home monitor system.

9. Peace Harbor Hospital - Home Health Services
    Provides physician-ordered health care in the home including skilled nursing; physical, occupational, and speech therapy; medical social work; and home health aide service. Also offers TLC (Total Life Care) for terminally ill patients and their families. Assists with community education, support groups, bereavement, and location of durable medical equipment and supplies.

10. Peace Harbor Hospital - Hospice - Grief and Loss Support Program
    Provides support for those experiencing grief and loss, including education on the stages of grieving and crisis management. Meetings are held at St. Andrews Episcopal Church, 19th and Tamarack in Florence. Transportation to meetings is available on request.

11. Peace Harbor Hospital - Hospice Services
    A home-based program which addresses the physical, emotional, spiritual and practical needs of the terminally ill person and his/her family. Hospice affirms life and combines medical care and support services for patients and families. Hospice care is provided by a team of professionals and trained volunteers which includes: a medical director physician, nurse coordinator, registered nurses, pharmacist, nurse aides, medical/social workers, counselors, and chaplain.

12. PeaceHealth Medical Group
    PeaceHealth Medical Group is one of Oregon's largest and oldest group practices and features over 90 Board certified physicians in seven family-practice locations in Eugene, Springfield and Junction City. Primary, specialty and urgent care are offered. Urgent Care is open 7am-midnight and the Pharmacy until 10p daily. Free computerized health information and health video center. Services include X-ray, lab, mammography, physical therapy, speech and hearing, optometry and optical, behavioral health, occupational medicine and elderhealth. 13. PeaceHealth Medical Group - Audiology Department
    Provides full-service audiology services: hearing evaluations, hearing aids, aural rehabilitation, assistive listening devices. We accept medical cards.

14. PeaceHealth Medical Group - Center for Senior Health
    Services include: Senior Class, HeartLine, Counseling Services for Seniors, and the Collabrative Nursing Practice through Geriatric Services. Monthly fees are charged for HeartLine ($23/month, $25 for installation, 686-7097). Counseling services, individual, group, and peer counseling, are free through a grant from LCOG and are open to Lane County residents aged 60 and over. Senior Class membership dues are $10/individual and $15/couple. (Free to Providence Medicare Extra members). There are varying fees for the Geratric Services, depending on services performed by the Nurse Practitioner.

15. PeaceHealth Medical Group - Center for Senior Health -Older Adults Support Group
    On-going support group for persons over 60 to share with others strategies for successful problem solving and practical coping skills and support for maintaining a sense of well being and emotional health during difficult times. Pre-registration encouraged.

16. PeaceHealth Medical Group - Chronic Illness Chronic Pain Support Groups
    Educational groups, led by professionals and peers, for caregivers and families of persons with chronic illness and chronic pain. Call for more information, dates and times.

17. PeaceHealth Medical Group - Counseling Services
    We serve the adult population of Western Lane County. We do assessments and referrals as well as on-going counseling, both group and individual. We also offer group therapy and skills training, individual skills and counseling. We do medication assistance which includes picking up meds from pharmacy and holding them so suicide potential is reduced. For homebound persons we do home assessments and counseling. We have the Lane County contract for crisis response to the community to do emergency mental health assessments.

18. PeaceHealth Medical Group - Health Information Center
    Offers a variety of free health resources: Four computer health databases, video library, consumer health and medical reference books, small lending library (refundable deposit required), pamphlets and trained staff. Center is located on the first floor of PeaceHealth Medical Group.

19. PeaceHealth Medical Group - Midwifery Services
    The PeaceHealth Midwifery Services consist of the Prenatal Clinic at 675 W Broadway (686-7280) and the Nurse Midwifery Birth Center at 511 E. 12th (484-5796). The midwives see women at both clinics for prenatal care, birth services, lactation services, post partum care, well woman visits, and women's health problem visits including birth control. Births are conducted at the Birth Center and at Sacred Heart Hospital. We care for women regardless of their ability to pay; if they have no insurance, we will assist them in finding coverage or make a financial agreement with them. Se habla espanol and have translators.

21. PeaceHealth Medical Group - Peer Counseling for Seniors
    Offers a variety of programs to improve the quality of life for the older person in the community. Individual and couples counseling, peer counseling, and support groups (see individual listings) to assist with major life transitions such as grief, illness and loss. Information and referral on how to find resources such as housing, home care, financial assistance and health care.

23. PeaceHealth Medical Group - Urgent Care Center
    Our Urgent Care Center is open 7a to midnight every day to provide complete medical services on a walk-in basis. Our fully staffed center provides care for minor injuries and routine outpatient evaluation and treatment of illness. The clinic pharmacy is adjacent to the Center to fill prescriptions until 10p every evening. X-ray and laboratory services available.

    WIN offers free seminars for women and their families on health and healthcare issues.

25. Pearl Buck Center - Families With Special Needs Program
    Preschool: Provides a safe, nurturing and stimulating preschool services to children between the ages of two and five born with average to above average intelligence, so children can enter the public school system without the need for special education intervention. Case Management: Provides resource identification, referral, support and advocacy services to individuals, including the parents of the children in our preschool, with borderline disabilities who are not eligible for state developmental disabilities services.

26. Pearl Buck Center - Outreach/Case Management Services
    This specialized assistance program provides case management services for adults with borderline developmental disabilities. We assess client needs; assist in obtaining services; coordinate financial assistance, medical care, recreation, and living situations; respond to crises; provide consultative services to community agencies and families and provide a support group offering peer counseling and recreational opportunities.

27. Pearl Buck Center - Personal and Social Development Program
    The Personal and Social Development Program is designed to provide personal, social and work training services to individuals with profound/severe developmental disabilities to assist them in increasing their functional abilities for daily living and work.

28. Pearl Buck Center - Production Services
    Vocational training and employment for adults with disabilities and other 'at risk' populations. Areas of training include electronic assembly, packaging, plastic packaging, mechanical assembly, and specialty notepads. PBPS is a workshop providing training and hands-on experience leading to the development of vocational skills. PBPS also offers community-based employment and training, including job development, job placement, supported employment, work enclaves, mobile work crews and mobile custodial services.

29. Pearl Buck Center, Incorporated
    Provides vocational training, rehabilitation, and case management services for adults with developmental disabilities. Offers a preschool for children whose parents have developmental disabilities.Provides adult referrals through Vocational Rehabilitation and Lane County Mental Health for vocational training.

30. People First Of Oregon
    Group of people who have disabilities, and are working at being accepted as people, rather than disabled. They meet monthly in Eugene. People who attend meetings have the first opportunity to go to special events. Annual statewide convention is held in September.

31. Pioneer Youth Corps of Oregon, Inc.
    The Pioneer Youth Corps of Oregon is a program for young people in middle and high school that uses a basic military style structure to teach leadership, responsibility, personal accountability, and a positive decision making process. PYCO is open to all young people who enjoy an active challanging program. The Eugene/Springfield group meets at the National Guard Armory on Centennial on Thursday evenings from 6:30 to 9:30p. Meetings are open to all visitors. Registered alternative education program.

32. Planned Parenthood Health Services of Southwestern Oregon
    A private family planning agency providing gynecological exams by women nurse-practitioners, prescription and nonprescription birth control, screening for sexually-transmitted diseases and infections for women and men, HIV testing and counseling, pregnancy testing, counseling and education. Appointments are necessary. Fees are charged for medical services. Sliding fee scale available for clients 18 and under for exams and supplies. Free pregnancy testing for clients 18 and under.

33. Pleasant Hill Community Service Center
    Provides food boxes. Recipients need to show proof of address or be homeless. Government food commodities for those eligible (USDA guidelines). Free clothing to our clients September through May.

34. Pregnancy and Infant Loss Network
    A support group for anyone with pregnancy and newborn loss. Phone support and referral available. Monthly support group meeting. Call for time and place.

35. Prevention & Recovery NW
    Provides alcohol/drug assessments, education, and treatment in outpatient groups with individual, couple and family counseling available. DUII diversion and intervention offered. Co-ed, women-only and men-only groups, call for dates and times. OLCC approved training for Alcohol Server Permits. School-based substance abuse prevention and recovery support. Fees are: $250-650 for groups, $40 per hour for individual counseling (adult outpatient).

36. Prevention & Recovery NW - GATSBI/Success
    Year long intensive intervention to increase academic skills, school bonding, positive problem solving and resistance to substance abuse. Must be enrolled in Madison or Kelly Middle Schools.

37. Prevention & Recovery NW - Student Assistance Programs
    Classroom prevention and intervention for youth at risk of substance abuse and school failure. Builds academic, social and alcohol/drug refusal skills. Support for emotional health issues. Student Assistance Program works with Eugene, Bethel and Springfield High School kids ages 14-18, and Crow, Lowell, Marcola youth ages 11-15. Gaining Achievement Through Supportive Behavioral Intervention works with Kelly and Madison Middle Schools ages 11-15.

38. Project Recover
    Drug and alcohol abuse information and referral for very low-income/homeless. Priority given to veterans of the armed forces of the United States.

39. Public Defender Services of Lane County, Inc.
    Provides criminal court-appointed indigent defense services in Circuit, District, and Juvenile Courts. Cannot provide representation without court appointment or authorization.
